Joshua Adams- I am 24 years old and currently live in Slocomb, Alabama with my wife Kaley Michelle Adams. We both graduated from Slocomb High School and began dating in college. God’s wisdom and sovereign hand placed Kaley in my life 5 years ago and we have been together serving him ever since. He has been so good to us and has displayed His grace, love, faithfulness, and providence in our lives each and every day. Kaley is a selfless, compassionate, generous, loving woman who is a passionate follower of Jesus. She is full of joy and kindness that overflows into the lives of those around her. I am thankful that God blessed me with her to spend my life serving Him alongside of. Kaley and I are Foster parents and we are passionate about this calling the Lord has placed on our lives. We are the parents of 3 beautiful Foster children. We are so thankful that we have been able to nurture, care for, and pour our love into these children for the eight months we have had them. God has taught us so much through them, and though they are returning to their father, they will forever be our children in our hearts. Kaley and I have been showered with God’s love and grace and are now expecting a new addition to our family this December. We are so excited and beyond grateful to be able to start and raise a family that loves and serves Jesus with all of their heart, soul, mind, and strength.
I graduated from The Baptist College of Florida in May of 2015 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Worship Leadership. Jesus has called me to be a Minister in order that I can fulfill His call on my life to lead His people into His presence to worship, adore Him, and grow deeper in their relationship with Him. I play the piano and guitar, and have a passion for writing my own music, especially worship music. My personal conviction and practice of leading worship is not based upon a certain style or genre of music. Though I love and prefer newer, contemporary worship songs, my conviction is this: I would rather lead a congregation of believers into the presence of God by singing, worshipping, and adoring our Savior Jesus Christ with only two hymns, than to sing five of the newest, coolest anthems and not enter into His glorious, life-changing presence and remain unchanged. It is always my desire for us to worship Jesus, the Great I AM, through the power of the Holy Spirit, utilizing whatever musical genre or style that helps us to express our worship, gratitude, and praise to Him.
